Guthrie- Eddie Faulkner (City Manager of Guthrie) named the new Fire Chief for the City of Guthrie Tuesday evening during the city council meeting. Dane Lausen will Guthrie's new fire chief as chief Eric Harlow is set to retire June 30, 2023. Dan Lausen has been with the Guthrie Fire department since December 20,2009. Dane is a Guthrie native, graduated from Guthrie High School and has been with the Guthrie Fire Department for over 14 years. Dane recently serving as a Lieutenant/A-EMT. Dane also served his colleagues as the international Association Firefighters (IAFF) local #2145 President since 2017. Dane earned his Emergency Medical Technician from OSU-OKC in 2009. In 2017, Dane earned his Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced from Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw. Dane has earned a number of certifications in the 14 years his has served at Guthrie Fire Department.
