Multiple fire departments across the state help extinguish a fire in Logan County.

Logan County- Monday April 17,2023, just shortly after 12:00PM Woodcrest Fire Department gets a call for a possible grass fire in the area of Waterloo Road and Post Road. Woodcrest fire chief Luke young confirmed a large grass fire, then asked dispatch to send more agencies to assist.


The fire spread very quickly to the North.


Logan County district 2 brought a dozer to assist with fire breaks.


Logan County Sheriff Office began evacuating residents to the North of the fire due to the fire moving North.


Logan County Emergency Manager Steven Haga says that they are calling this fire "Waterloo Road Fire."


Logan County Emergency Manager Steven Haga says that several departments brought side by sides due to the fire being heavy wooded areas.


Oklahoma Natural Gas has been called out due to a possible gas line rupture.


From a few reports we heard that two structures possibly have been damaged (a barn and a house.)


Logan County Emergency Manager Steven Haga tell us that Forestry estimates 294 acres have burned.


Multiple fire department across Logan County, Lincoln County task force, Payne County task force, Oklahoma County task force, Kay County task force, and the Forestry Department came to help extinguish this fire.
