The Guthrie Fire Department put out two structure fires Thursday evening with help from other agencies.
Guthrie Fire Department was dispatched to the first initial structure fire at 816 N Broad St. at 5:57pm. Guthrie Fire Department arrived on scene to a small shed and parts of the home, then it became a fully involved structure fire. Shortly after these additional agencies (Coyle and Oak Cliff) arrived on the scene to help knock down the fire in the interior part of the home. No one was injured and was able to get out before the structure became fully involved. The fire is under investigation to see what could have started it.
Shortly after, Sooner and Langston Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to 904 N Broad St. (two houses down to the north first initial structure fire.) When Sooner Fire Department arrived on scene, they were able to see visible flames and smoke. After a while Sooner and other agencies were able to get a knock down of the fire. The fire never became a fully involved on the second structure fire. The fire is under investigation to see what could have started it.
